TIPS & TRICKS Israel is a high tech marvel. Many conveniences are available on apps. Most will accept American credit cards. Taxi – use Gett (like Uber) Scooters – Lime (can be used through Uber app) Bus/Train – Moovit –put in your destination and it gives you which bus to take. It also gives walking directions to the bus stop (a little challenging) and you can pay the fare by scanning the QR code using the app when you’re on the bus. Cell Service There is WiFi everywhere. You can use it for WhatsApp and FaceTime calling. Your US carrier may have a per day rate for the days that you use cell data. Or get a sim card when you get here. It’s much less expensive than US cell service. Make sure to enable WiFi calling before you leave the US PACKING It will be hot here!! Bring a hat and sun screen. Shorts, bathing suit, t-shirts a lightweight scarf to cover your shoulders and wraparound skirt if you go to holy sites that require modesty.
