For the church, there is a large parking lot on the east side of the building. There is also ample street parking on the south and west side. Watch for the one way on the east! For the reception and dance, you can park leading up to the building, in front of the building, and around the back. To avoid being towed, please do not cross the concrete barrier on the south side where it is posted as private property.
We will have a cash bar. The Harwood bar will be rolling in from down the road and will be happy to bring anything they have. Let us know if there are any requests you wouldn't expect them to bring!
No, there will not be a shuttle to/from the reception. We do have the venue until noon on Saturday, so vehicles can be left in the lot overnight and picked up in the morning.
We're happy if you're happy! Our colors are red with sunflower yellow if you specifically would like to blend in or blend out(?).
Everything will be inside and air conditioned, but the venue may get warm if it is really hot outside (and 200 people are dancing inside!).
The record high temperature for Fargo on August 2nd is 102 degrees and the record low is 40 degrees. The average high temperature is 81.8 degrees, so hopefully it will be nice...hopefully nobody will be saying "it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the wind!"
Yes, please do come early and enjoy piano, cello, and singing before Mass!
We are having a full Catholic Mass for our ceremony. This typically takes about an hour.
Church is something that is important to us. In fact, the church where we are getting married in is the first church that we attended Mass together in. We know and respect that everyone has their own beliefs and their own opinions on how a wedding should take place. We are looking forward to celebrating our special day with all those invited, and ask that all who come are open-minded and respectful of the practices of us and fellow guests.
When you RSVP on this website, it will indicate if you have a 'guest.' If you have a guest and plan to bring someone, please let us know their name!
We are having a pasta buffet! In order to plan for proper amounts of each option, your RSVP will ask you to indicate which choice you'd prefer. Please include any dietary restrictions too.
No, please feel free head to Harwood right after Mass! Enjoy some company and popcorn; the Dueling Pianos team should be playing recorded music when you arrive (if you are too quick, you may be roped into lighting some candles;-). We will not see each other before the ceremony, so we will be taking photos as fast as we can afterwards. See the Schedule for when to expect entertainment and food to start.
It is roughly a 20 minute drive, but it is pretty easy if you are unfamiliar with the area. A couple blocks north of the church is Main Avenue. Head west on Main until you get to I29. Take I29 north for about 8 miles. You will be able to see the Harwood Community Center on your right as you exit the interstate. It is a white building with minimal green accents.
That we will. We are going the nontraditional route of having Dueling Pianos as our entertainment. They will be able to play the wedding classics, as well as requests from the audience--with the dance floor available throughout.
Our reception ends at 11:00 per the Harwood City Ordinance. No after-party is planned, but we won't stop you from planning your own!
Please refrain from taking photos during the Ceremony so our photographer can have the best view. After that, please take a ton and share with us! We do not have a hashtag.
At this time, we do not plan to live-stream the wedding. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out so we can make it happen!
Please check out our timeline in the "Schedule" section of the website.
We have sent our count to the caterer, so we have taken that page off of our website. We are hoping to have things printed for all of our guests, so please let Leslie know if you need to make any adjustments.
In addition to the Dueling Pianos playing requested songs, we intend to spotlight a few of our favorite country line dances. The bridal party will be learning them, but others who know them are welcome to join in the fun!
