Question

How do I RSVP and what is the deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP directly through our website! All invited guests can simply put in their first and last name (given when information was collected) to find their RSVP. We humbly ask that you RSVP as soon as you're sure of your plans, but NO LATER than May 1st, 2023. If we do not receive your RSVP by this date, we will presume you cannot make it and we will offer the spot to other individuals.

Question

Can I bring a plus one, my children, my dog, etc.

Answer

We are unfortunately unable to accommodate anyone (or any pet) that is not specifically listed on the RSVP at this time. Our venue has a strict capacity and we will not have extra space to accommodate extra guests. We do have a waitlist for plus ones and if any spots open up, we are reaching out to those people individually to let them know. We appreciate how much love you all have shown us and we truly wish we could accommodate everyone!

Question

Why are there so few items on the registry?

Answer

We feel we have been incredibly blessed already and are fortunate enough that the vast majority of our needs have been met. We have put a few items that we do need and ones that represent big life goals at the request of several people, but please do not feel obligated to give anything. We are both already so grateful that so many of you are willing to travel to celebrate this occasion and incur expenses to make it happen. We want this to be a time where we can honor all our favorite people who have helped to shape who we are today as individuals and as a couple.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside by the gazebo overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony is located nearby on the Terrace and the reception is in the sailcloth tent out on the lawn. If weather is an issue, alternate rain locations inside the main retreat house will be utilized.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We humbly ask that you consider wearing formal attire since it's not often we all get to dress up, however, we ultimately want you to wear what makes you feel best. Maine in the summer is lovely, averaging between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit each day so for those accustomed to warmer climates, they may want to consider a light jacket or cardigan at night.

Question

What is the easiest way to travel to the venue?

Answer

We have many family and friends traveling from the New England area as well as across the country. Here are our suggestions for traveling to Maine: - Fly into Boston Logan Airport, rent a car, and do a scenic coastal drive to Stockton Springs (~4hrs drive time). Make sure to stop and enjoy the best of New England summers with beautiful ocean views, lobster rolls galore, and long sunny days - Fly into Bangor Maine Airport: this is the closest airport to Stockton Springs, Maine and offers the most efficient way to arrive (~45min drive)

Question

Are there any room blocks or transportation provided?

Answer

The venue is in Stockton Springs, Maine, a small and quaint town on the coast. There are a variety of accommodation types nearby, with the closest town being Belfast. We have reserved a room block at the Fireside Inn and Suites at a discounted rate (about a 15 min drive). Please check out the Travel and Lodging tab for more information! The venue itself sits on an estate with ample parking for those driving and is easy to find. We encourage you to utilize carpooling, uber, or lyft if you are drinking. Please be aware though that Uber and Lyft can be less frequent in the small town of Stockton Springs. Please drink responsibly and seek out someone to give you a ride if you should not be driving.

Question

Is the venue ADA Accessible?

Answer

Yes! The main retreat house as well as gazebo, terrace, and pathway leading to the reception tent are all handicap accessible. We want to ensure each of our guests have an incredible experience and comfortable time. Please reach out with any concerns or if there is anything we can do to make your time more enjoyable.

Question

Where will updates be posted or what is the best form of communication?

Answer

We will be utilizing the email given to us to be in touch with you with updates and additional details as we get closer to the date. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Mark or Heather at any time though! Heather can be reached at 682-225-6722 or petty.heather@gmail.com.
