Robin Hood and Ye Olde Trip
Robin Hood was from Nottingham - but also, Nottingham is home to the "oldest pub in England", the "Ye Olde Trip [to Jerusalem]. Legend has it that Crusaders to the Holy Land met here for 'one final drink' before setting off.
Bradgate Park
A beautify country park - where Mark went for walks as a kid! Go climb up to see "Old John". It was also home to "Lady Jane Grey", the "nine-days' Queen", who ruled the UK from 10 - 19 July 1553 when she was overthrown by Queen Mary I aka "Bloody Mary".
Wollaton Hall
A beautiful country hall, universally known as Christian Bale's house in Nolan's definitive Batman trilogy. Also, a great place to see wild Deer.
King Richard III
King Richard Ⅲ - the Last Plantagenet - was discovered in the car park where Peter, Mark's dad would park sometimes for work! The visitor's centre is much more interesting :-)
