There is plenty to see and do in Toronto, Canada's biggest city! Get some shopping in at the Eaton Centre, visit the historic Distillery District for good food and drink, or take in the amazing views from the top of the CN tower. The Steamwhistle Brewery offers great tours and great beer, and is even better along with a baseball game cheering on the Blue Jays next door at the Rogers Centre. Sadly the NHL will be in it's off-season, but Canada's Hockey Hall of Fame is the next best thing!
Caledon is Jamie's hometown, and is well worth a visit (not that we're biased or anything)! Go on a beautiful scenic hike at the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park or Belfountain Conservation Area. Check out some amazing art at the Alton Mills Art Centre before grabbing lunch at Ray's 3rd Generation Bistro. Spend some time relaxing at the Millcroft Inn & Spa, or wave to Jamie's dad's place in the village of Inglewood after admiring the Cheltenham Badlands.
The Niagara Falls are one of the seven natural wonders of the world and at only a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto, they are a must-see! Rock a poncho and get real close to the Falls aboard the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Clifton Hill, Niagara's entertainment and tourism district. You may even decide to visit neighbouring Niagara-on-the-Lake, a picturesque village full of excellent restaurants, antique shops and even the opportunity to go on a winery tour or two!
Port Carling is the small town located closest to our wedding venue, the Sherwood Inn. It's downtown is known as the "Hub of the Lakes" in the Muskoka district and there are lots of chances to dine, shop and explore. Enjoy a meal at Loondock's Restaurant or sip a cocktail overlooking the water at Turtle Jack's Grill. Other great places to visit in Muskoka include Hunstsville, Gravenhurst and Bala. With boat cruises, farmer's markets, hiking trails, water sports, museums and stunning natural views - there is something for everyone in Muskoka, and we hope our guests enjoy it there as much as we do!
