About Our Venue ♡
We have always been an arm’s length away from each other, but it wasn’t until adulthood that fate finally brought us together. We both grew up in the same town, moving to Bedford, NH as kids not even of elementary school age and living just miles away from each other. We attended the same middle school, intermediate school and, later in life, the same college. We always knew each other’s names and were aware of the other’s existence, but we never crossed paths too closely. We even had instances of hanging out in the same group together in college, but the timing was still a bit too early in our lives. After college, we ended up moving into apartment buildings right next door to each other and our jobs intertwined in certain ways, but it wasn’t until the age of 25 that we finally entered each other’s lives. Our first date at Stark Brewery in Manchester found us talking and laughing for hours, and we’ve talked every day since. We quickly found that we have always been the missing piece in each other’s lives and have too many perfect similarities to count, such as both of our loves for writing, pasta, wine, and so many other intricacies in between. The rest is really history!
Our entire day together on April 8th, leading up to the proposal that night, was so authentically and beautifully true to us and our relationship. We headed to Boston together that afternoon for dinner and to watch the Bruins play at TD Garden. When we first arrived in Boston, we decided to have a glass of wine together in the hotel room before walking to the restaurant. I was completely clueless as to what was about to happen that night, but as we were looking out the window and watching the sun set over Boston Harbor, I said to Myles that, “this is a moment that we will always remember”. It still gives me the chills to know that I spoke those words, but truly had no idea that we were only an hour away from being engaged! We then went to dinner in downtown Boston before the game, where Myles got down on one knee and proposed to me in the middle of dinner; the best and most shocking moment of my life! Everyone in the restaurant cheered for us, and we then went on to watch the Bruins win a historic game. It is without a doubt a night that we will both always remember. We can’t wait to say “I do” surrounded by all of our loved ones on July 13, 2024!
