As you do during COVID, we met online and instantly clicked! We texted for hours a day and were so excited (and nervous!) to meet in person for our first date. We finally got that first date on July 25, 2021. We went to Guapo's in Gaithersburg, MD and we were both so nervous we ordered food we didn't even want because we were worried about being messy. We very quickly got over that fear and have been our messy, weird, and genuine selves with each other ever since!

As if we needed another example as to why we are meant to be together, we unknowingly decided to propose to one another within the same week surrounding our two year anniversary. Both proposals on a hike, which is something we have enjoyed doing together, since we first started dating! Each proposal was special in it's own way. When Marissa proposed we got to share that special day with one of our pups Winter. When Marisa proposed we went back to where it all started... Gaithersburg, MD to the first hike we ever went on together at Seneca Creek State Park and to our favorite sushi restaurant afterwards.
