Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, please wear formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit. Long dresses are great too!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If no guest is identified on your invitation, please do not bring a date or guest. Unfortunately, our venue has a very strict headcount requirement, so we've had to scale down our list quite a bit. Thank you for your understanding!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, a parking attendant will direct you where to park. Cars can be left overnight if needed.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No kids unless designated family members in the wedding party.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes! The after-party will be at the Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware immediately following the reception. The cash bar will be open until 1 a.m. Note: the shuttle from the venue goes to this hotel, so please feel free to utilize the free ride & join us for drinks!

Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Shuttle service is available for the Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware hotel. For guests staying in this hotel, the shuttle to the venue will depart promptly 3:45 pm for the ceremony beginning at 4:30 pm. THIS IS THE ONLY SHUTTLE. If, for whatever reason, there is not enough room on the shuttle, Uber and Lyft are easily accessible from the hotel, and there is parking on the premises. After the reception, the shuttle will leave at 10 pm. Please note that even if you are not staying at the Courtyard hotel, you are welcome to travel back in this shuttle for the after-party! If it's necessary, the driver may be able to come back to the venue for a second ride. Again, Ubers and Lyfts are always available. We encourage you to tip your driver. :)
