We properly met at my work Christmas party, Travis found the courage to talk to me at the bar and I recognised him from previous outings. We locked eyes and were inseparable the whole night, everyone there swears it was love at first site and I truly believe it was. We spent New Year’s together that year and we haven't left each other’s side since!

Marija and I are both a part of the emergency response team at work. Once a year there is a competition (MERC) held in Perth for a select few members. In 2021 Marija was incredible enough to be chosen to be in the team. Now when the MERC team trains no one is allowed to disturb them. However, on the 18th of November 2021, I was at work and I saw her come out of the training ground. I quite literally stopped in my tracks and was taken back by how beautiful and strong she looked. So confident and focused on what she was doing. My first initial thought was "Wow, this girl is stunning. She must surely have a husband". Not being confident enough to speak up then I settled for letting her occupy my mind for the next few weeks until I saw her by chance again out with friends. We had an instant connection and spoke uninterrupted for what felt like hours but turned out to be 10 minutes until Marija was dragged back to be with her friends. Another two weeks go past and that leads us to the start of Marijas story. :) Both stories are love at first sight. Friends and family can confirm that from that moment of meeting, both of us have been inseparable from each other, and only strengthen and grow the more and more we adventure through life.
