FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mariela Fuentes and Drew Malinsky
We hope to share our special day with you! If you have any questions other than what we've listed below, feel free to text or email us.
Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie for ceremony and reception. Tuxes and gowns are preferred and encouraged. Block heels are recommended as there is a short walk to the reception through Old San Juan's historic cobblestone streets. No white dress/white tux.

Question

Will there be any special diet meal options?

Answer

Yes, both vegan and vegetarian options will be provided. You do not need to make a request. However, if you have any other allergies or other dietary restrictions besides these please let us know.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We want you to take the night off, and so our events are adult and young adult only. If you need help arranging babysitting services, please let us know.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and a guest," then yes. If not, please understand we are trying to keep our wedding as intimate as possible.

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

If you're a United States citizen, you do NOT need a passport to go to Puerto Rico. Since Puerto Rico is a US territory, all you need is the same identification you use to fly anywhere else in the country.

Question

Will I need a different currency?

Answer

No. Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States and uses the U.S. dollar. Most credit cards are accepted but it's not a bad idea to bring cash just in case.

Question

What is the best method of transportation?

Answer

Uber and Taxis are very accessible but if you wish to see more of the island, we recommend renting a car.

Question

Do I need a power adapter for Puerto Rico?

Answer

American citizens do not need a power adapter/converter as the voltage in Puerto Rico is the same as in the US.
