Question

Where is the actual ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is directly on the 78th St beach in front of the ICONA resort. We recommend arriving no later than 5:15pm to ensure parking and walking to the beach.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

The ICONA parking lot is for hotel guests only. If you are staying at the ICONA, you will receive one parking pass per room. However, there will be complimentary valet parking just for the wedding, even if you are not staying there. If you choose to self-park, you can either park on the street or at the public parking lot one block over at 80th St next to the Windrift. All parking is free.

Question

Are there restaurants close by?

Answer

Yes. The ICONA has the Avalon Brew Pub which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a bar open til midnight. The Windrift Resort is next door and a great place to go for dinner or drinks. Stone Harbor is a short 5 minute drive away and is a very cute shore town with tons of boutiques and restaurants.

Question

Where are the bride and groom staying?

Answer

Marie & Mike are staying in the ICONA Resort on Sunday and Monday. The rest of the week we will be staying in a beach house in Ocean City NJ about 20 minutes away.

Question

Where can we spend the night?

Answer

There are quite a few options. The first one is the Room Block available at the ICONA. Please note - there is a 2-night minimum stay required. You can either stay Saturday & Sunday, or Sunday & Monday. It is a very nice beachfront hotel and it’s peak season so it is a little pricey. There are only 10 rooms blocked and the deadline to reserve is May 1st. A less expensive alternative in Avalon is the Desert Sand across the street. Rooms fill up quickly in the summer so you will want to call soon to make a reservation. They do not offer a room block. Renting a beach house is a great option if you wish to stay a little longer and make it a vacation! Marie and Mike are staying in Ocean City on 53rd street. There are quite a few other families staying in houses in that area as well. We recommend renting through Berger Realty in Ocean City.
