Question

How much are accommodations?

Answer

We are providing accommodations at the castle for $200 per person from Monday 9/11-Thursday 9/14. You will have a pre selected room inside the castle. Price is for all 3 nights total, all good, gratuity etc.

What about food?

Answer

During your stay we will be providing catered meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) each day. If you would like any additional food there are many local shops and hotels with restaurants within the town of Duns. Please ask us or the castle staff for recommendations.

What about alcohol?

Answer

All meals are catered by an outside company and alcohol will be provided during rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Additional alcohol is BYOB for personal consumption. ****YOU WILL BE CHARGED A CORKAGE FEE FOR YOUR OWN BOTTLES. We encourage you to bring whatever you like but.. PLEASE BE DISCRETE WHEN BRINGING THEM TO THE CASTLE SO THAT YOU ARE NOT CHARGED !

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

maximum is about 61°F and minimum is about 50°F. Night time can be around 45°F. Skies are mostly cloudy and possible rain. Milder sunny days are always a possibility as well. Please look up weather closer to date as it can vary during this time.

What do I wear?

Answer

Rehearsal dinner: cocktail attire is required. Sport coat, cocktail dress, etc. Ceremony & reception: formal attire is required. Tux is not. For the remainder of your stay please feel free to wear anything that makes you comfortable. There are many activities and grounds to explore. We suggest bringing sneakers/boots etc. Anything appropriate to wear outside and get dirty
