We’re so excited to share a few of our recommendations for a better stay in Guatemala during our wedding weekend.

When should I buy plane tickets?

Answer

Buy them as soon as you can, as prices do go up closer to the date. If you are traveling from another country for our wedding, you must fly into La Aurora International Airport Guatemala City.

Do I need a visa for Guatemala?

Answer

Is Guatemala Safe?

Answer

Yes! We want to reassure our guests that Antigua, Guatemala is a safe destination. We know you will love Antigua as much as we do. We would never ask family and friends to travel somewhere unsafe.

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE IN THE SAME PLACE?

Answer

Yes! Both events will be at Villa Bokéh. There is no need to move around.

MONEY EXCHANGE?

Answer

· We recommend to exchange your dollars in Banks in Antigua Guatemala or in the Currency-exchange office at the airport. · ATMs are available in most of the hotels or all over Antigua Guatemala. · Credit cards are accepted in hotels and restaurants. · The Currency may vary by the time of your visit but approximately is: Quetzal (Q) Q7.85 = US$1 Some places accept dollars cash but you may get a better deal by paying in quetzals.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE IN FEBRUARY?

Guatemala is called the land of the eternal spring, meaning there's good weather most of the year. February is a is a great month to visit Guatemala, the climate is comfortable and the temperature normally varies between 13°C to 25°C (55°F to 77°F). Expect bright blue skies.

How Do I Get Around Antigua?

Answer

The best way to get to feel Antigua’s culture, art, and history is by foot. It's small so it makes it convenient to walk everywhere. We recommend that you pack comfortable shoes to walk Antigua’s cobblestone streets like a local. For non-walkable destinations you’re good to use Uber.
