In November 2020, Wyatt moved from the west coast to the east coast (Orange County, CA --> Jacksonville Beach, FL). Shortly after, Mariah moved from North Carolina to Jax. 2 years went by without the couple ever officially running into each other - even though they were part of the same friend group and church community. lol While Wyatt was focused on his work with the Tebow team & Foundation and Mariah was traveling the country raising support to be sent as a missionary to Amman, Jordan, God interrupted their lives. In October 2022, Mariah randomly showed up at Wyatt's house one night with a mutual friend. Both were very focused on the task God had given them, but overtime, as they got to know each other, they realized the relationship was from the Lord. They went on their first date Dec. 27th and after their second date, they knew their 'search' for a spouse was over. On February 15th, 2023, Mariah left the United States to live in Amman, Jordan. Her primary role over the last year has been to share the Gospel with the Turkmen - a nomadic gypsy people group who live in tents on the outskirts of Amman. The majority of Wyatt and Mariah's relationship as been long distance over the phone...Although a 7-hour time zone difference and poor internet connection has been a challenge, God has used the distance to protect and prepare the couple. On July 19th, 2023, Wyatt flew to Amman to surprise Mariah and propose! God knew what He was doing in the timing of it all (as He so often does) and the rest is history! Mariah and Wyatt are so excited for what is in store as their journey and commitment toward Jesus and one another continue to deepen!
