Jacob and I met in the spring of 2017 when I was in my 3rd year of college at UTRGV and he had just started his first semester at UTSA. We met through our mutual friend Tamara (who’s officiating our wedding). Throughout our college years, we would travel back and forth from Edinburg to San Antonio. People often say long-distance relationships are difficult but Jacob made it easy. Now I get to spend forever with the man of my dreams.

It was the weekend before Jacob's 26 birthday and he had mentioned he wanted to do something different on that day. On Tuesday afternoon he casually mentioned he had booked a wine tasting in Fredericksburg for Sunday and I suspected nothing. The day arrived and we drove through the hill country to Agusta Vin vineyard. We got there and it was beautiful. We sat at our table and started our wine tasting. As we were almost done a lady walked by talking to one of the employees about taking pictures for the vineyard's Instagram page. She asked a table of people near us if she could take their pictures for a promo shot and so she did. Then she walked to Jacob and I and asked the same and we both agreed. We stood up and walked to this chapel structure right in the middle of the vineyard where she instructed us to pose for some pictures. She explained a couple pose called the “bear hug” and she had us practice it. On the last try, she counted to 3 but Jacob never came from behind to hug me I turned around and that’s when I saw Jacob on his knee. It was the most magical moment of my life. The beginning of our forever.
