We first met at Lausanne Collegiate School where we were both working at the time. Stafford saw me kickstart karaoke (what's new) for the faculty holiday party. A mutual friend (thank you Wayne!) asked Stafford if he wanted to join the faculty band. When he asked who was in it and Wayne pointed to me, Stafford joined. We started playing music together and staying late for practice. We would text each other songs that happened to be cute that we wanted "the band" to learn. Wayne, Stafford, and I would go out for margaritas after practice. Eventually, we went on dates without Wayne and made it official in July 2018!

We always go to Florida for Thanksgiving. My uncle lives on the bay. Two years before, my sister Carly got engaged in the same place. My whole family knew and kept it a secret. My grandma said we were going to take pictures before Thanksgiving and instructed everyone to dress up. Amazingly, I still had no idea. Stafford brought his guitar because we met playing music. We sat down in the screened in porch to learn a song and Stafford started saying all these sweet things. After dating for three years, I knew something was up when he did not throw in a sarcastic comment for five consecutive minutes. He turned to grab the ring and THEN the tears came. I said yes before he even asked. When I heard the POP of champagne, I realized my family was watching the whole thing from inside! We are so overwhelmed with everyone's love and support and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
