Question

What is a Nuptial Mass?

Answer

In the Latin Rite, the celebration of marriage between two Catholic faithful normally takes place during the Holy Mass, because of the connection of all the sacraments with the Paschal mystery of Christ. It is fitting that the spouses should seal their consent to give themselves to each other through the offering of their own lives by uniting it to the offering of Christ for his Church made present in the Eucharistic sacrifice. (CCC 1621)

Question

Can I come if I am not Catholic or do not practice my faith?

Answer

Anyone is welcome to attend Holy Mass! However, during the part of the Mass where the faithful receive Most Holy Eucharist, those that are not Catholic (or those Catholics in need of the Sacrament of Reconciliation) are to abstain from receiving the Holy Eucharist for the benefit of their own souls.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire that is modest and appropriate for a church setting.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes! However, special accommodations, such as a separate room at the reception, will not be available. If you have have further questions, please reach out to Maria or Justin!
