Jonathan and Margot met in high school when Jonathan was a freshman and Margot was a sophomore. He was shy and she was wild. They hung out in the same circles and became friends but it wasn’t until after college that they truly connected. After just one date at Mexican Inn, over a couple of taco salads, they started dating. Six years went by and not much changed (including Jonathans love for taco salads). Since then, they’ve grown together, and began to build a home together.
It was their first roadtrip together - just the two of them. They borrowed her moms SUV, and drove ten hours straight to Santa Fe. When they checked in, Margot was exhausted, but Jonathan had a nice dinner and star-gazing planned for the night. After dinner, they drove about an hour out of town, to the top of a mountain in the pitch black of night. Margot was terrified. She dropped a location pin and was about to send it to her sister with the attached message of “if we’re murdered, here is where you can find our bodies”, but then they arrived. Out in the cold, and the dark, there was the most amazing umbrella of stars you could imagine. Pictures do it no justice. Margot was peering through a giant telescope, when he suddenly popped the question! She replied with a resounding “Of course! It took you long enough!”
