Josh and Margo met in 2015 through mutual friends at the University of Iowa. ...Can we get a Go Hawks?! After frequent run in's at the local bar "The Airliner" and multiple tailgates on Melrose Street, Josh finally mustered up the courage to ask Margo on a date. After that, they quickly realized they had A LOT in common. From both being only children, to their love of the outdoors, music and good food, they knew this was a love story in the making. Their relationship grew throughout college. After graduation Margo moved to Chicago to be with Josh where the adventures continued. From Montana to Idaho to Washington, the mountains kept calling and they couldn't resist but to explore them together.
When the opportunity arose to go on a trip to Europe to celebrate a friend's wedding, Margo and Josh couldn't resist! They traveled throughout Spain and had the time of their lives! They decided to make the most of the trip and visit Switzerland, Margo's grandmother's home country. Margo and Josh hiked the Swiss Alps to Lauterbrunnen Valley on a clear summer day. Josh insisted on a photo due to the breathtaking view. Margo initially resisted because there was a photographer taking pictures of the valley, and she didn't want to obstruct his photos. That's when the photographer overheard the debate and offered to take a few pictures of them on their phones. After a couple of quick snapshots, Margo and Josh took in the beautiful valley and astonishing mountains. That's when Josh said, "Look at that paraglider!" Margo turned to look where he was pointing, and when she turned back to Josh, he was on one knee. Margo quickly said an overwhelmed "Yes!" and then realized the photographer wasn't there for the valley; he was there for them. After the most amazing experience of their lives, they did what they love the most with the person they love the most - explored the mountains.
