Shawn or Shawnie, as I most often call her, is my treasure! She personifies love, comfort, compassion, and gentleness and has been beside me through every moment of this beautiful and difficult journey. Long before I ever met Jon she assured me that I would! She constantly reminded me, "Jesus sees you, sweet one! He has the best for you! I just know it!" And did He ever! Thank you for always believing this day would come, Shawnie, even though my faith waivered at times. Thank you for standing beside me always and for standing with me today! I love you forever! Mike, Thanks for being my brother and closest friend. We have worked countless hours together, and played almost as many. We fought each other, helped each other, played tricks on each other, and continue to love on each other. Most of my best memories include you, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Sarah has been my friend for over 15 years! And we have kept our bond of friendship strong despite the ocean that has separated us for the majority of it. She has taught me by example what it means to live a life of love and service to the Lord and to be faithful to Him regardless of circumstances. I can't thank you enough for taking a chance on that college girl all those years ago, Sarah! Thank you for changing my life forever and continuing to bless and impact it daily! Andrew, we don't work together much any more, but I love every chance I get. You have become my closest friend spiritually because of how freely you share things of our Lord. I love our long talks about scripture, and how I can trust you to hold me accountable in areas where I'm vulnerable. I love spending time with your family, and am thankful I get that opportunity. Matt, since following your calling and moving away geographically, we haven't had quite as much quantity of time together...yet somehow, we manage to make all of the time we spend together of the highest quality. I've loved digging ditches and building cabins and sheds with you. I'm always impressed by how hard you work physically and mentally. You were always able to process many projects in your mind, and then teach me all of the individual steps along the way. You taught me so many methods and tricks that I use everyday. Your ethic is inspiring to me, and I'm so proud of you.

Sarah and I met at Sight and Sound when she was on stage singing and dancing and I was in the ceiling pointing a giant flashlight at her! We quickly became very close, and she became the little sister a never had. Despite the fact that I am older, Sarah has always been a wise and godly counselor for me. She is courageous and full of love, wisdom and silliness. I am so blessed to have you by my side today, Sarah! I love you so much!

Adam, We don't get to see each other much anymore, but we sure put miles on tires when we were single! We hunted, rode bikes, worked on the farm, went on missions trips, did youth group stuff, hikes...there's not much we weren't both into. I'm sometimes tempted to be sad that we don't hang out more, but then I remember how incredibly grateful I am for all the good memories of our childhood together. And then I think of how you decided to become a lineman. It's dangerous and hard work, and you seem to do it joyfully. I'm so proud of you. And I'm so happy to have you with me at my wedding.

Megan and I also met at Sight and Sound and we quickly bonded over our love for our nieces and nephews and The Sound of Music! Early on, we knew we would have lots of adventures and fun together and have we ever! From movies nights and German noodles to dude ranches and mountain adventures, we have covered a lot of ground over the years. Thank you for joining me for this beautiful adventure too! I love you!

Dan, We were inseparable as kids and had so much fun together. We don't get to hang out as often anymore as our paths have diverged, but I still am so proud to call you my friend. In many ways, I cannot believe we are here, from digging the dirt around the swing set with 1/64 scale excavators to being in each other's weddings, I'm sometimes surprised at how far we have traveled. I'm proud of you for working hard, and proving your leadership abilities in your current job. And I'm so incredibly thankful to have a cousin like you.

Amy is Jon's little sister and I am so blessed to call her my sister now too! From day one she welcomed me with gifts, notes, and love. She even let me borrow her car the very first time I came to visit! Alex, You've been in my life for the least amount of time, yet somehow you've already become an integral part of our family. I guess that's what happens when you marry my baby sister ;-) All the other guys in this list have loved and cared for her since she was a tiny thing, and we are happy to add you to our crew. We haven't had much opportunity to do stuff together in the relatively short time we have known each other, but I'm looking forward to all the fun we will have working, shooting, cooking, and traveling together.
