We're getting married!

We are a classic setup story. Marco's twin, Mario, introduced us in March of 2021. After our first date of axe throwing and drinks, we were smitten. We became so inseparable that when Marco became sick with COVID a month later, Emily inevitably got sick too. We decided to quarantine together for a few weeks, and our love grew stronger. Before the end of the year, we had officially moved in together and began planning our future.

This past February was full of celebration - we purchased our first home in Mundelein, Illinois! Marco and I had looked at engagement rings months prior, but between the home buying process and moving out of our second apartment, getting engaged seemed like a distant thought. On 2/16/24, we went to our favorite steakhouse to celebrate the home closing and Valentine's Day. Marco caught me by surprise when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I said YES of course. We decided February 16th will be a special day for the rest of our lives.
