As a young girl I have always dreamed of what my prince charming would be like. Would he ride up on a horse like a knight in shining armor? David sure didn’t but he did catch my eye. He was wearing the baggiest jeans, a UGA Camo hat around his belt loop, a plaid shirt with a black leather jacket. I was like whew this style has got to go. (I am not a fan of UGA or camo anything.. Roll Tide!) anyways back to the love story. My prince charming was not dressed at all like I had envisioned. David and I had our first date in downtown duluth at Pure Taqueria and after that night we couldn’t get enough of each other. Soon after our relationship began I was diagnosed with Leukemia. The night we found out we had just finished dinner with my family. David, my sister Victoria, and I were headed back to my apartment when the doctors called for me to come to the hospital immediately. All of us in shock trying to frantically figure out what to do and my Prince Charming sits me down in my closet to let me know he won’t leave my side and he will take care of me through it all. We had only been dating 4 months at the time and I knew right then that I loved this man and he would someday be my husband. After weeks in the hospital, countless doctors appointments, midnight ER visits and a few years of fun the man of my dreams asked me to marry him right under the brand new pedestrian bridge that we have watched our entire relationship be built in our city, Peachtree Corners!
