Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 20, 2019

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at our ceremony by 12:45, although Mallory & Adam are usually late, they refuse to be late on this super special day!

Question

What should we do in between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Since Adam and I chose not to do a first look, we are going to be taking photographs after the ceremony, until our cocktail hour at 3 pm. Our ceremony will take place from 1, until 1:30. Our guests will have free time to explore Middletown from 1:30 until 3pm. The church is right one the corner of Main Street! We recommend that you take a nice little walk down to Esca, one of our favorite places in town, and grab a glass of wine! There is so much to do in Middletown, and we appreciate you holding off your arrival until 3 pm. The Barns will not be open until 3 pm, and we want all of our guests to have a fabulous day! We appreciate you all so much, and cannot wait to see you and cheers you during our cocktail hour!!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered here at Zola, Pottery Barn, and Bed Bath and Beyond! All of the links are on the wedding website, and also can be found through the stores!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is formal attire. For the super dapper gentlemen who would love to come in a tux, feel free! However, a suit is also completely acceptable. For the ladies... ya'll know Mallory is all about the glam! Glam it up if you'd like!! Gowns or long dresses are exactly what she is envisioning, but a gorgeous cocktail dress is also amazing! It is a winter wedding, and our colors are gold, black, and ivory! Bring on the furs, and all things fabulous!! We want everyone to feel gorgeous with us!!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If we allotted the room for a plus one for you (and we do not know who the lucky guy/gal might be) it will say "and Guest" on the envelopes of your save the dates, and wedding invitations. If we did not specify "and guest" on the envelopes of your invitations, then we are truly sorry, but we wanted you all to ourselves!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are having an adults only reception, so please no little ones. Thank you!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We blocked off rooms at the Inn at Middletown, it is super cute and quaint and where we will be! However there are other local hotels because Wesleyan is a college town, so if you google them you will find many other options! There are also a ton of uber and Lyft drivers to get you to and from, if you choose a different hotel!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please indicate any allergies on your RSVP card for us! The Barns is a farm to table kitchen and they cater to all allergies and preferences. The vegetarian dinner option is also vegan! The following appetizers are dairy free for our cocktail hour; * Smoked Pork Belly BLT * BBQ Pulled Pork Taco * Seared Sea Scallops * Korean BBQ Duck Slider The following appetizers are gluten free, for our cocktail hour; * BBQ Pulled Pork Taco * Cauliflower Popcorn * Seared Sea Scallops * Grilled Shrimp Cocktail The following appetizers are Vegetarian for our cocktail hour; * Autumn Bruschetta * Cauliflower Popcorn In addition, we will have a Harvest Table with artisan cheeses, raw & marinated vegetables, assorted local fruits, salads, dips, crackers, and some other surprises! All of the entrees can be made to order for your specific needs! In the wedding party alone we have a nut allergy, a squash allergy, a gluten allergy, and a vegetarian, so you will not be the odd man out!!!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at the church! There is parking on both sides of the church actually! In addition, there is parking at The Barns, and it is their private parking lot. They do allow wedding guests to leave their vehicles in their parking lot over night, and encourage you to do so, as we will be having an open bar wedding! If you are staying with us at The Inn, there will be a shuttle at the end of the night to transport you to the hotel from The Barns! So you can partake in all of the fun with us and not have to worry about driving!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We did not get transportation from the hotel/church to the ceremony or the reception, however, you can uber/lyft to either/or and there will be transportation to bring you back to hotel at the end of the night. Our wedding time is prior to hotel check-in time!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Just in case you didn't look at your calendar because you were so excited, our wedding is the Sunday of Thanksgiving Day weekend!
