We actually met on Hinge! Hinge is a dating app where you create a profile for yourself that includes things like pictures, hobbies, likes, dislikes, what you do for work, etc. In order to "match" on Hinge, you each need to "like" one another's profile, which we obviously did. So we began chatting on the app and hit it off! After a couple of days, we set a date to meet for dinner at a local restaurant near the hospital I work at. We ended up having a great time with each other and the rest is history!

So, I was asked by Amber, who is my best friend, if Phil and I would help her and her fiance Vinny set up for an event at some restaurant for her mom's business on Friday June 30th, because she had broken her foot, and was unable to. So, of course, I said yes. The day of, Phil and I, along with Amber and Vinny, jumped in the car to head over to the restaurant. On the way there, we decided to stop for coffee, which is nothing out of the ordinary for us. However, as we were waiting for our coffee, Amber came over and told me that there had been a change of plans. We weren't allowed into the restaurant until later than originally planned. So now, we needed to kill time. Luckily, Amber works in the area, and said that she knew a place nearby where we could walk around to kill time. So we ended up pulling over at this park in Ellenville, NY, called Sam's Point and began strolling down the trail that Amber claims is only a 10 minute walk. When we reached the end of the trail, we came across a stone staircase. So, we decided to go up the staircase, and as we got to the top, the view was incredible. Naturally, we all wanted our pictures taken. And as Phil and I were about to have our's taken, he got down on one knee and proposed. I could not have been more surprised! Little did I know that the entire story was made up just to get me to that cliff, and Amber and Vinny were in on it the entire time! Afterwards, the four of us decided to celebrate at Penning's Farm, which is a cidery/brewery. When we got there and began making our way over to our seats, I realized that Phil had told each of our family and friends of the plan, and set it up for all of them to be there waiting for us to celebrate upon our arrival. It was the best day!
