At Holy Cross, it's true that if you go to enough of the same parties and make time for each other's home basketball/volleyball games, you're destined to end up together! It makes sense that Quality Time is a Love Language that both of us give and desire. After maintaining a friendship throughout our Freshman and Sophomore years of college, we made a conscious decision to spend some more intimate and quality time with one another. The more quality time we spent together, the more we realized how much we truly loved and supported each other. The trend of support and unconditional love has carried us through many years, many cities, and many basketball seasons, and it continues to strengthen our relationship to this day!
As a native of the DC, Maryland, Virginia area, Malcolm is used to seeing the cherry blossoms each spring. Dana, however, had yet to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival up close. Due to COVID restrictions, walking along the Tidal Basin in DC to view the blossoms wasn't an option. That didn't stop Malcolm from making it happen! On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we took a private yacht up the Potomac River with some of our family to see the blossoms along the water. While anchored down in front of a lush backdrop of cherry blossom trees, Malcolm got down on one knee and asked the question that would join their lives forever.
