Making McDaniel Memories

Thank you all for visiting our wedding website! As Kaylie adores palindromes, we are getting married 4/20/2024! We have decided to have an intimate, micro-wedding. While we would love to have everyone there for our moment, we decided it is not feasible. Thank you for understanding that wedding costs are simply heinous, and for supporting our choice to keep our day within a manageable budget for this teacher! 🤣 If you would like to contribute to our next chapter in life, please see our registry page. Jordan and Kaylie met moving into the dorms for their freshman year at the University of Colorado in Greeley, CO. They became good friends throughout their first year away from home. They enjoyed late-night talks, carving pumpkins, and commiserating during spontaneous late-night fire drills. Kaylie will tell you how she would write “Kaylie McDaniel” over and over in her anthropology notebook (which she found while moving into her camper in 2020.) Genuine friendship lies as their foundation. Sophomore year came, and the two lost track of each other. Kaylie was living with her parents in Green Valley Ranch during her graduate program in 2018 when Jordan texted to ask if she’d pick him up from work after fainting. No amount of years away could prevent the care they share! 2019 came around, and Jordan asked Kaylie to housesit for his cat while he went on a family vacation to Florida. If you know Kaylie’s affinity for cats, it really didn’t take much convincing. Finally, 2020 rolls around and the two once again found comfort in each other through the chaos. Their first dates were socially distanced from June 2020 until March 2021, when they had their first official date at the Beer Spa and Sushi Blue in Downtown Denver.
