Not too many people know but Trace and Mak met online after years of managing to dodge each other at school and sporting events around East Texas. They had their first date on November 2, 2022 & knew from that one evening that they never wanted to be apart again!

On the anniversary of their first date, Trace joined Mak’s family on what Mak assumed was just their usual beach vacation. During this trip Trace planned a surprise proposal during a beach picnic with Mak’s family. He walked her down to the water and the second he got on one knee she was bawling and saying “yes!”. She was completely surprised and even more shocked when Trace’s parents surprised her by showing up too! It was such a special moment for everyone and we can’t wait to experience the rest of this journey with all of you!
