Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is cocktail attire. No jeans, please! Please reserve white for the bride.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Yes! We love all of our friend's and family's children and will have a kids meal option for dinner to select on your invitation. Just an fyi to all parents, there may be some explicit songs played during the dance portion of the night!

Question

Can i bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, if you have a plus one, your address will be listed as "Mr./Miss XYZ and Guest". If you are confused, when you RSVP and type in your name, you will see if you have a plus one! We want everyone to share in the celebration and this will ensure that we are surrounded bye our close friends and family! We hope you understand!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:00 PM CST. We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior!

Question

Where should I sit at the church?

Answer

Traditionally, the family and friends of the bride sit in the pews on the left when facing the altar, with the family and friends of the groom in the pews on the right. However, as many of our guests may overlap, you are welcome to sit wherever you would like and are not restricted to a side! We will have two groomsmen available to direct guests if needed.

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony/reception?

Answer

In order to ensure we are all fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this special moment and we would be happy to send you any pictures upon request. During the cocktail hour and the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!

Question

What's the bar situation?

Answer

We will provide a full open bar with spirits, beer, cocktails, and selection of red & white wines. We will also have multiple non-alcoholic options and coffee. Blackhawk Country Club does not allow shots or drinks to be ordered neat.

Question

Can I request an alternative food option for food allergies?

Answer

Yes! We will have options available for guests who may be gluten-free or vegetarian. If a guest has a severe food allergy (i.e. peanuts), we ask that you note this when selecting your meal and we will ensure proper preparation of the individual's meal!
