Wedding Party

We asked everyone to share their favorite memory with us - and they did not disappoint!

Kathryn Knight

Maid of Honor

"As a young Girl Scout I “delegated” my cookie sales to my younger, outspoken (read: loud, bossy) sister. I was shy and introverted, so knocking on neighbors’ doors was pure torture, but not for Maggie. She’d march right up and sell 10, 15 boxes a house."

Alex Lipe

Best Man

"A favorite memory I have with Josh is when we saw our favorite band, Umphrey's McGee, at a music festival in Rome, Georgia. The show was a blast, we were in the front row, and they played one of our favorite songs Josh had requested them to play before the show, which was an extremely cool experience."

Allie Eidson

Bridesmaid

"It’s hard to think of one memory that encapsulates how great it’s been having Maggie in our family! She has embraced the Eidsons despite all our quirks and has made beach trips + holidays more lively and fun. She really made the jump from 'brother’s girlfriend' to 'sister in law' during my freshman year at UNC. She showed me around and took me to dinner when she could, which made me feel much more comfortable on campus! On my very first FDOC, she sent me detailed directions when I was nervously waiting to hike across campus. Later that week, my roommate and I got lost trying to get back to our dorm late at night. Instead of using Google maps, I called Maggie and she helped us find our way home, despite me providing no landmarks. I’m thrilled to have another Tar Heel in the family!"

Ashley Eve

Bridesmaid

"After knowing Maggie for ~13 years and living with her for 4, I’ve learned that the best kind of party is one Maggie plans (especially if it has a unique theme). The most memorable Maggie events include the bar golf tournament at UNC our Senior year and our post-college beer Olympics at the infamous cabin where we lived. Turns out, Maggie loves a good old fashioned competition theme! Speaking of competition, we even threw a pre-ACL surgery party for her (which she tore during an adult rec league soccer game, of course). These are just a few of my most fun memories with Mags and I know this wedding will top them all!"

Carly Hammack

Bridesmaid

"Maggie and I met at Charlotte United Futbol Club Tryouts in middle school. We reunited at Myers Park and both made varsity our freshman year, which was quite the bonding experience. Over the years we've had tropical spring breaks, numerous basement sleepovers, prom pics, and dressed up in countless costumes. When we headed off to college we did not let the 5 hour drive dim our friendship. We visited and had summers in Charlotte, which was when I first learned of Josh’s crush on Maggie. I have loved watching their journey from the beginning. I couldn’t think of a better match for Maggie’s sass, sarcasm, and creative drive. Even though we are now truly in a long distance-cross country relationship I know that Mags will always be one of my very best friends. KA Mustangs :)"

Caroline Inchaustegui

Bridesmaid

"I was lucky enough to meet Maggerie the first night of college. I was sold from the start - even more so when she didn’t hesitate to join me on an empty dance floor a couple of hours later. We were inseparable from then on. One of my favorite memories with Mags was when we were invited to the same Christmas cocktail - basically another excuse to hang out with each other. We were going through a big Sisqó phase (a very mediocre singer) and decided that it would really get everyone in the Christmas spirit if we requested (demanded) that the DJ play one of Sisqo’s hit songs. Unfortunately for everyone else, the DJ obliged and in a couple of seconds the jam-packed dance floor was empty - except for us. That’s what I love most about Mags, she is the best partner-in-crime anyone could ask for."

Meredith Murray

Bridesmaid

"Over the years I have been lucky enough to make more than just one favorite memory with my Sweet Mags, however some of my all time favorites include us on a dancefloor or with a Mic in our hands (yikes, we know). There's no one else I'd rather hit the dancefloor with, torn ACL or not, or sing The Chicks with at the top of our lungs very, very off-key. While we may not be the most talented, we do bring a lot of flare! Can't wait to keep singing and dancing through life with you both!"

Olivia Zvara

Bridesmaid

"My favorite memory of Maggie is when we visited Chapel Hill to go to a basketball game a couple weeks after Maggie underwent surgery for an ACL repair. Maggie was in a full-length leg brace, from her thigh all the way down to her ankle, and still found a way to break it down on the dancefloor at Pantana Bob’s after the game. In sickness and in health, the girl truly cannot be stopped."

Shalese Miller

Bridesmaid

"My favorite memory with Maggie is the entire year of 2016. We met while working for the Braves and bonded over 10 game home stands, running around the stadium in the grueling Atlanta heat, happy hours, ice cream in the press box at Turner Field and exploring Atlanta during off days. The beginning of our friendship is so special because it was my first year in a new city where I knew no one, it was the start of my professional career and I was trying to become somewhat of an adult. I couldn't be more thankful that Mags was there for it all and continues to be one of my best friends. Mags is my go-to gal for everything. For advice, to vent, share something embarrassing, get brunch or a drink, go to sporting events and everything in between. Love you two! So excited for your special day!"

Erich Espenschied

Groomsman

"If I had to pick one memory, it would have to be one of the Umphrey's shows we've seen together, and that leads me back to the time they played at Riverbend after I'd just moved to Chattanooga. I'll never forget walking away at the end of the show and how "She's So Heavy" jerked both our heads around and literally dragged us back to the show... The show was epic, but I think that memory serves as a great example of our times together for a number of reasons. I don't think there was a whole lot of planning that went into it and he was only there for a night, but in that time we managed to catch up, laugh, see some music and check in with each others' lives. We've had plenty of times since, but when I think back on that night I'm always overwhelmed with a sense of familial love and pride."

Evan Mann

Groomsman

“In 2013 I transferred schools. My first weekend at App I found my way into a frat house. I didn’t know a soul but was greeted by this one curly haired guy who was repeatedly quoting Willy Wonka. He was in charge of the music and asked me for some recommendations. I jokingly told him Michelle Branch, which he then blasted for the whole house to hear. Several people asked him to change it, and I remember those people were kindly asked to leave. Everyone went to the bar, and I stayed in the dirty frat house listening to Michelle Branch with my new Willy Wonka quoting friend, Josh.”

Hunter Powell

Groomsman

"Too many to choose from over the 3+ years as roommates in ATL - probably a combination of our Super Bowl party for two, crowd surfing at the Sum 41 concert, and many late nights at 5 Paces"

James Snover

Groomsman

"My favorite memory with Josh was Christmas break of our freshman year of college when Josh and I, along with several other friends, drove to Boone and spent a long weekend skiing and enjoying the mountains, while reveling in luxurious lodgings provided free of charge by the Delta Chi fraternity."

Max Ayer

Groomsman

"Josh and I met when we were kids in preschool in Raleigh. That same school year I moved across the street from him and we became good friends very quickly. A few years later, when he moved to Charlotte, I couldn't help but think our friendship was in jeopardy. However, with the help of our parents and dial up email we were able to stay in touch. New Years Eve 2004 was the first of many memories we would make after he moved. I came to Charlotte and we went to see the Charlotte Bobcats together, and that's my favorite memory with Josh because it was the first time I understood how strong of a friendship we had and still have to this day."

Phillip Kluever

Groomsman

“My most memorable times with Josh have always been from the times that, at the moment, seemed like just another day or night hanging out together. From nights in middle school playing Guitar Hero all night, to cruising around in high school blasting whatever mixtape we had just discovered, to countless nights of pool at Smith's or Golden Tee at 11th Street Pub, it’s the routine stuff that has become so memorable and meaningful over the years.”

Rob Hefner

Groomsman

"I don't know if there's one specific favorite memory, just tons of trips of all kinds over the years, from church mission trips to Alabama, Georgia, and Virginia to bowl games (Mountaineer wins, obviously) in Alabama and New Orleans. Years and years of memories, from middle school all the way through college."
