In November of 2018, Maeve was invited by a friend to attend an ugly sweater party. She showed up in an ugly Christmas sweater, with flashing lights. Upon arrival, she met the homeowner, Kyle, who was also wearing an ugly Christmas sweater with flashing lights. Both were distracted by the party and moved on with their nights. Later in the evening, the two got to talking about skiing, dogs, and their mutual love of travel. Kyle knew in that moment he wanted to take this girl on a date, so he asked Maeve for her number, and the rest is history.
