Some of the classics we know & love: Burgers & Brew (try the Gladiator Fries!), Mikunis (Sushi), Yolo Berry Yogurt (right next to the Farmers Market!), Zia's Deli (sandwiches), Village Bakery (best slice in town), In-n-out (obviously) Some new additions to Davis since we graduated: Mamma (Italian, fka Bistro), Guads Tacos & Beer, Raising Cane's (chicken tenders) If you're looking for a hangover cure Sunday (and maybe a chance to catch the newlyweds) we recommend a Breakfast Burrito. The Groom will order from Ali Baba's, the Bride will order from 3rd & U Cafe. Can't decide? Good thing they're right across the street from one another.
A long-standing Davis tradition and a charming way to spend your Saturday before the wedding. Open 8 - 1, rain or shine.
Tour our alma mater and buy some swag at the newly-renovated Bookstore! But first, be sure to stop at the student-run Coffee House [aka CoHo] to grab some affordable iced coffee and see the Quad where Ryan and Madison spent many afternoons flirting. If the heat is getting to you, head to the MUGA [MU Games Area] for some bowling or billiards and yet another area Ryan and Madison spent many afternoons flirting.
The Arboretum features 3.5 miles of gorgeous gardens along a waterway that winds through campus and downtown Davis. The Bride loves stopping at all the signs and reading about sustainable landscaping & water quality. Free and open to the public every day.
Ryan and Madison frequented the rec pool in the early chapters of their love story. This is a great way to beat the heat! Check their website for up to date hours.
