After a week of texting back and forth, we finally decided to meet in person. Parker would pick me up from the freshman dorms at Trinity International University for our first date out for ice cream (my favorite food) to Oberweis. I was extremely shy. This was the first date I had ever been on, but luckily Parker had enough words for the two of us. We went, grabbed some ice cream, and got to know each other a little more. Then we spent time together the next day, which happened to be Valentine's Day. After a while we began to spend more and more time together. And as they like to say, the rest is history.

Parker flew out to Colorado as a "birthday gift" to me. We were planning to spend all day together. We went to a coffee shop and spent quality time together while doing a bible study. We then stopped by the baseball fields to say hi to my family and then we were off to Golden, CO. We had Woody's Pizza, walked along the river walk, and drove up to Lookout Mountain. As the evening approached, we headed back closer to home and picked up Chick-fil-a to have a picnic. It was on a Chick-fil-a picnic that I first told Parker that I loved him. We headed to our picnic spot that overlooked a gorge and Parker said, "Wouldn't it be fun if we had a little photoshoot?" I love taking pictures so of course this was a great idea to me. We set up my phone on a rock to take some photos. After some time had passed, Parker said, "I almost forgot! I have a surprise for you!" That's when he told me to close my eyes. When I opened them he was down on one knee asking me officially if I would marry him. And since you are reading this, I said yes!
