Madison and Joel were in 6th-grade math class together, Madison gave Joel the nickname "Joelly Rancher," and they talked to each other on and off throughout middle school. When they started high school, they were in their freshman Biology class together. They both had a crush on each other, but never told the other person. Fast forward to Madison's sophomore year of college. Madison randomly told Joel to come visit her at Purdue and he showed up at her job. He would drive to Purdue three times a week after work just to hang out with her for a couple of hours. From then on they knew they were meant to be together.

Joel and Madison decided to go to Indianapolis for the weekend to celebrate their third anniversary and Valentine's Day. Madison was suspicious that she could be getting engaged that weekend, but she didn't want Joel to know she was suspicious. They went out to a delicious dinner at The Melting Pot that afternoon, then they went on a walk near the Canal. Madison knew something was happening because Joel kept checking his phone and looking around while they were walking, but she was trying to play it cool. They kept walking, then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! When they returned to their hotel, it was covered in rose petals and candles. Joel's friend, Tyler, snuck into their room, decorated it, and captured the proposal. We are so excited to celebrate our love and share our story with you!
