Korey and I met in the dining hall at Southeastern University. We ended up at the same table through mutual friends and we instantly had chemistry. That night he convinced me to go to a birthday party and we talked for hours. We spent time together almost everyday for 6 months after that. We said we were just friends but we both knew we had a crush on each other the whole time.
Korey and I spent the next 6 months getting to know eachother before we had to go home for summer break. Just before I left for the airport he planned one last date together. That night we laughed and danced and he asked me to be his girlfriend over a homemade candle lit dinner. I was so excited and so nervous, I had a feeling we would be together forever...then we dated the next four years!
We had spent all day at the beach and ran to the grocery store (hindsight: to get me out of the house) for some last minute dinner additions. When we came home, Korey grabbed my hand and walked me out the back door. I was surprised (and already crying) looking at the backyard decorated with candles, pictures of us over the years, and signs with reasons why he wants me to be his wife. He got down on one knee, I said YES and all our family and friends joined us to celebrate the most perfect day!
