We’re getting married... again!!

As most of you know, Brody and I got engaged at the very beginning of this pandemic and because of the pandemic, like everyone, we faced many challenges. We had a hard time planning our wedding with so many details being up in the air. Right after Brody and I got engaged there was a military travel ban which meant that Brody couldn't travel more than 30 miles away from Camp Pendleton. This meant that if we wanted to see each other I would have to drive down to Cali on the weekends and finding an AirBnB with all hotels being closed was a struggle. This turned into many back to back weeks of driving down and it was very hard for us to stay apart during this time. Once the San Diego court house opened up again we decided it would be best for our relationship if we just got married sooner than our set wedding date in December. Our biggest influence being love and second being that the Marine Corps wouldn't allow us to live together unless we were legally married. After getting married there is a long processing period, logistics within the Marine Corps, apartment hunting, moving and all of that fun stuff. We decided to take advantage of our options and start our new lives together a tad bit sooner than planned. Since our elopement only included Mr and Mrs Hanners and Mrs Bivens, we knew we wanted to have a bigger wedding celebration with our friends and family, our dream wedding! We hope that everyone can understand our decision and join us in December to celebrate our love as newlyweds!
