While we may have done it 1,000 times, the Saint Simons Island Trolley is the best way to see the Island. We recommend doing this on the first day to see all of the places that you may want to visit on your trip. Pro tip: book the earliest tour in the morning because you will get the best breeze.
The Village is Saint Simons Island's "downtown" area. This is where you will find many of the popular shops, restaurants, and the famous pier and lighthouse that you see in all of the pictures. Spend an afternoon walking around the Village and make sure to stop at our favorite ice cream shop, Saint Simons Sweets!
One of our favorite rainy day activities or a great stop on if you're on Jekyll is visiting Georgia’s only sea turtle education and rehabilitation facility! Get an up-close look at the incredible creatures and see the rehabilitation efforts in action. Pro tip: You can purchase tickets online for a discount.
Welcome aboard the Lady Jane, a retired steel hull shrimp boat turned eco-tourism and conservation vessel! Take in the scenic views of the coastal waterways as the crew scoops up nets of critters from the river bottom and teaches about the native sea life before tossing the catch back.
Voted one of the best pinball locations in the world! Step back in time at the Pinball Palace, perhaps more accurately described as a “living museum” than an arcade. Take your pick from hundreds of machines ranging from the newest state-of-the-art units to restored vintage machines dating as far back as the 1960s.
War was imminent as James Oglethorpe established Fort Frederica in 1736, to help protect the British colonies from the Spanish in Florida. Today, archeology has uncovered the story of the 1,000 people that once lived here and now you can visit the site.
Built in 1820, Christ Church is home to gorgeous architecture, stained glass, and a historic cemetery where many famous Georgians have been laid to rest. Christ Church was home to the Wesley brothers before they returned to England to found the Methodist Church. Stop by to tour the church and the cemetery.
