Explore forested hiking trails, Owen beach, playgrounds, and various garden areas. This is our favorite place in Tacoma!
The conservatory is one of only three public Victorian-style conservatories on the West Coast. Listed on the City of Tacoma, Washington State and National Historic registers it boasts a large collection of tropical and desert plants. Free to visit. Outside, enjoy Wright Park arboretum. Walk through a variety of towering trees. Check out the tag for the red oak in front of the conservatory! Large playground in the park as well.
Located on the Nisqually River Delta in Southern Puget Sound, this refuge consists of three thousand acres of salt and freshwater marshes, grasslands and mixed forest habitats that provide a resting and nesting area for a wide variety of migratory birds. We love walking along the boardwalks and trails. Amazing views and easy to get to from Tacoma.
Visit rainforests, mountains, and/or beaches on Washington’s majestic peninsula.
