We're Getting Married!

In August of 2021, we both set out on a new adventure and moved to Nashville—two new chapters, beginning at the exact same time. Maddy was starting nursing school at Belmont University, and Chase had just been stationed at Fort Campbell. It was a time of new beginnings: a new city, new friends, and a whole world of exciting experiences. Little did we know, moving to Nashville would also be the start of our story. Soon after settling in, our paths crossed through mutual friends. For nearly two years, we’d see each other at bars, restaurants, and gatherings, but always just in passing—nothing more than friendly faces in the same circle. But then, in 2023, Chase was deployed for 9 months. During his absence, we both experienced life in different ways, but it was upon his return in April that everything changed. We happened to bump into each other at a local bar in Nashville, and in that moment, something was different. It felt like we were reconnecting after far more than just a few months apart—almost like we were picking up a conversation we hadn’t even known we needed to finish. That night, we quickly realized that the friendship we’d shared was transforming into something more. From that night on, we were inseparable. Our first date was the beginning of a new chapter—one that led us to become an official couple in June, move in together by November, and get engaged in May. Now, we’re building a life together in Austin, Texas, and we couldn’t be more excited for the future. We are incredibly grateful for the love and support of our family and friends throughout our relationship. It’s clear to us now that this was meant to be from the very start—and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you by our side! Let the countdown to August begin!
