Nothing like a workplace romance right? and to make it even more romantic, why not add the place of work as a Nursing Home. Matt was working in the Gardening and Maintenance department in Brodribb Nursing Home. Maddi was an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). Matt was completing window cleaning in the Nursing Home when he caught a glimpse of Maddi walking past. Matt went straight to the source of all information... his Mother, Stacey. Who also at the time worked in the Nursing Home in the Laundry. Stacey informed Matt of who the young nurse was and with that he was straight onto Facebook and sent her a message... then followed with a friend request. After Matt's persistence in taking Maddi on a date, she caved and agreed. A month later they started dating and the rest was history!

Battling COVID restrictions there wasn't many places you could travel during the year 2020. However, Matt and Maddi always enjoyed camping at Gordon Country which wasn't far from Toowoomba. On a camping weekend away Matt played their favourite Keith Urban song while he got down on one knee and asked Maddi "Will you Marry Me?" And of course Maddi said "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
