We're getting married!

Despite growing up just 9 miles apart in the D.C. area, Maddie and Joe had to journey over 2,500 miles to San Francisco to finally meet. In June 2017, Joe moved to San Francisco for his first post-college job and to be near his older siblings and family living in the Bay Area. That same month, Maddie also relocated to SF to start her first job and to try life on the West Coast for "one year." Despite frequenting many of the same spots around town, they had to swipe right on Hinge to finally make a connection. Bonding over their shared DMV roots and small-world connections, they knew they had found something special. Fast forward 6+ years and a lot has happened since that first date. Countless travels, new jobs, stints of long distance during the pandemic (ask Joe how many times he drove across the country), Ironman Triathlons (ask us what a bomb cyclone is), moving in together (ask us about boiler rooms), and now tying the knot! Thank you to our friends and family who have supported us over the years. We’re excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
