HER: In 2013, Scott my sister's husband, attempted to set me up with his cousin David. But of course I couldn't agree to anything until I did a little investigating. While stalking David on Facebook, I started to take note of his really cute friend. (Sorry Davey, you know I love you!) I asked Scott about him and he told me "That is Kyle Madden and he is untouchable." Fast forward 5 years later to 2018. One night I get a call from Scott, attempting to set me up AGAIN. But this time, it was with Kyle Madden. Scott and David were screaming on the phone for me to come meet Kyle on their family vacation in California. I was hesitant, and said I would think about it. Three days before the trip I decided to bite the bullet. I went on the vacation, spent four days with Kyle, and the rest is history. Thanks, Scott! HIM: David: “Hey dude, wanna go house boating?” Me: “I’ll go if you go.” David: “I'll go if you go.” Me: “okay let’s go.” That conversation ultimately changed my life. All aboard the SS FRL where I meet the girl I will spend the rest of my life with. I didn’t know much about Madeline before I met her. David showed me picture of her before the trip, but that is about it. This has some funny dialogue, so if you don’t mind... David: “This girl Maddie is gonna be there.” Me: “Well is she hot?” He shows me her instagram @maddstreeter #gofollow. Me: “Yeah she’s hot” The morning of the trip we all meet at the Liedstrand’s. This girl walks out of the house, greets me with a mothering hug and says, “Hi I’m Maddie”. I didn’t really want anything to do with her so I joked around with David, and made myself some eggs because I was hungry. Fast forward a few nights and I found myself flirting with her while tubing. I didn’t know what was happening but I think I started to like her. After the house boating trip, I flew into Bozeman, MT to “see David”. Now she’s making me write a story about how me met. HER: We decided to celebrate Valentines Day early because we were going to be traveling on Valentines Day. Kyle convinced me to go to The Petroleum Club in Billings. Honestly, I fought him on this, I wanted to stay home in my jammies and cuddle Pepper. I finally caved. When we arrived, we had a whole room to ourselves filled with candle light and roses. I thought it was just a really sweet gesture from Kyle/The Petroleum Club. As the night went on, I started picking up on nervous energy from Kyle. I've never seen him drink so much water in his life, giggle so many times, and try to make conversation about the most random things. I started putting two and two together, and I said "So... what't up Kyle?" At this point he was beat red. He said "Okay I can't torture you anymore" He kicked the chair out and got on one knee and asked "Madeline will you marry me?" I then kicked my chair out and got to eye level with him and said "Wait are you serious? YES!" We celebrated with champagne and headed home to a house full of all of our friends and family who flew in to celebrate us. If our wedding is anything like our engagement, it is going to be the BEST! HIM: I honestly blacked out. I was so nervous. But as soon as she said yes, I could breathe!
