FAQs

A few Frequently Asked Questions. If there is anything unanswered, please reach out to us with your outstanding questions.
Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

If you are planning any activities outside of Vail we suggest getting a rental car. Otherwise, no, once you have arrived in Vail there are quite a few transportation options. There are free busses from West Vail to East Vail, along with a free in-town bus. Most of Vail is pedestrian friendly. Uber's, Lyfts, and Taxi's are an option, but they are sparse.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Even the best parents need a break sometimes! To allow all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy themselves, we’ve elected to make our wedding a child-free event.

Question

Can I park at the Wedding Venue?

Answer

No, the parking at the venue is reserved for the wedding party and vendors. We will provide transportation from Vail Village to the Golf Course and back. The Town of Vail Bus is also an option, with limited times.

Question

When should I travel?

Answer

We suggest arriving at least 1 day in advance, to accommodate any travel delays and to allow yourself to adjust to the altitude. Vail is 8,150 feet above sea level.

Question

What Is the Attire?

Answer

Meet & Greet: Mountain Casual - (Here is the Top Google) Mountain casual essentially is an outdoorsy version of business casual, very similar to country club casual. If you look like you stepped out of an Eddie Bauer catalog, you're on the right track. Suitable mountain casual attire ranges from jeans, boots, and a rugged button-up shirt to khakis, loafers, and a sport coat. What mountain casual isn't is casual. That means no T-shirts, flip-flops, short-shorts, or swim attire. Those expensive designer ripped jeans are also a no-no. If the dress code is truly casual, there's usually no dress code mentioned at all. Ceremony & Reception: (Stolen From Zola) Just like traditional semi-formal, a “mountain semi-formal” dress code means that the couple wants you to get dressed up as you would for a nice event, but lean into the mountain theme a bit, too. While you still want to avoid items such as sneakers, jeans, and tees, the couple is okay with you adding a special touch to your look, so consider adding in some on-themed elements or colors for the mountain themed wedding. For Those Who Prefer a Masculine Style: A suit and tie or a dinner jacket and dress pants are still appropriate for a mountain semi-formal event, but consider adding a touch of the theme to your look. Earthy tones such as tans, browns, greens, and blues are great ways to give a subtle nod to the ambiance. Or, for more flair, consider a button-down shirt with a pine tree or snowflake pattern worn under a dinner jacket, paired with some nice boots. For Those Who Prefer a Feminine Style: While a cocktail dress, skirt, and top, or jumpsuit are still the base of your look, think of ways that you can lean into the mountain feel. Consider a nice pair of booties, a mountain wedding dress, jacket with faux fur, flowy fabrics, turquoise jewelry, or a nice, knit sweater (especially if you get chilly as the sun goes down).
