We are extremely fortunate to have what we need, and would appreciate you instead donating to one of these charities: 1. Give Directly - a great organization that provides direct cash payments to those in poverty: https://www.givedirectly.org/ 2. The Smith Rock Group - Maddee is on the board so she'd get some of it: https://www.smithrockgroup.org/ 3. Access Fund - protecting climbing areas if Maddee and Seth want to get engaged again: https://www.accessfund.org/ 4. Deschutes River Conservancy - Seth and Maddee shared a boat on a group floating trip once, make sure the river stays around: https://www.deschutesriver.org/
Unfortunately, we did not have enough interest for a shuttle. If you'd like some assistance finding a carpool car, please reach out. PLEASE make sure you have a designated driver. If you'd prefer to camp up at Mt Ashland, there is a free campground. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/klamath/recreation/natureviewing/recarea/?recid=13059&actid=63 Reach out if you have any questions!
Yes, in Portland, but Maddee wasn't ready to accept how great Seth really is. She does now, and here we are.
Semi-formal attire.
To best accommodate Maddee's desire to have trees and mountains to distract her from the permanence of the event, the ceremony will be ~200 yards up a hill from the lodge. Please allow for 10-15 minutes to get to the ceremony site from the lodge.
Yes - October weather in Southern Oregon is highly variable, so we recommend bringing a jacket and comfortable shoes for the ceremony. You could chance it, but our officiant has some yarns to tell so please do get comfortable. Weather: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=42.0809&lon=-122.705
Yes, there should be plenty of parking on top of the hill. However, given the presence of a fair bit of alcohol at the event we would to help coordinate carpooling. Please reach out if this is something you're interested in.
Yes. Whatever Ginger can catch the day or two before the event, probably a salad too.
Yes. You might be asked to square dance too.
Maybe two actually.
Yes! Kids should have a spot in your RSVP so please let us know if they are joining. If you'd prefer a sitter and a night out, that is alright too.
