Ryan and Micaela met at Kaskaskia College on October 20th, 2016. They were both individually on their way out of the cafeteria when their paths crossed. After introducing themselves to each other and a quick conversation about their college majors, Ryan asked Micaela for her number. The following week, they went to the Centralia Halloween Parade where they took their first picture together and shared a kiss for the first time. However, their official first date was a traditional pizza dinner and movie theater showing of Dr. Strange. Micaela remembers falling in love that night when Ryan agreed to order a chicken and mushroom pizza with light tomato sauce from Monical's Pizza. Ryan must have felt a similar spark because he asked her to be his girlfriend that very night. In fact, he would ask her this question after every date they shared for the next two months until December 3rd, 2016. After driving through the Foundation Park Christmas light show, Ryan once again asked Micaela to be his girlfriend, and she said yes. Six years later, on December 3rd, 2022 she would again say yes after Ryan got down on one knee to propose to her at their apartment during a surprise party he had planned with their friends and family. On October 20th 2024, eight years to the day when they first exchanged phone numbers, Micaela and Ryan will say "I do" to a lifetime together alongside their friends and family.
