If you ask family and friends how we met, you will get a different response. Some will say we met at a concert. Some might say we met through a friend. Others might say we met online. And some might simply have no idea. The truth is this. Mackenzie was not looking for a relationship. She was not ready for one she thought because of everything she went though the year before. Dakota was not exactly looking for one either, but was a bit more open minded than she was. However, it all started when Mackenzie’s friend suggested that guys have it more difficult in the dating world than women. She disagreed, which started a debate, which then lead to the Tinder experiment. She and her male friend switched Tinder accounts. They had 24 hours to swipe (100 right swipes) and get responses back. When the experiment (that did not prove anything) was over, she logged back onto her account for amusement and curiosity. Out of the 100 random guys, there was only one she decided that was worth talking to. It was all because of his profile picture of his tattoo. A simple hello, nice tat! Lead into a million other conversations. Eventually, snapchats were exchanged. They bonded really quick,and talked every single day. The two of them have so much in common. Dakota asked her a few times to hangout, but she was nervous. They talked online for four months until finally meeting in person! She picked him up to go to a concert to see their two favorite bands. The second he got in the car and they locked eyes for the first time, she knew it was game over. Shortly after that they started dating. As fate would have it, they flew across the country six months later to go to another concert. They went to Disneyland together for the first time and realized that they were home. Not just in Disney, but together. It was clear to everyone there that they had that sparkle in their eyes. The universe gave the sign, and Dakota got on his knee. She said yes, and here we are!
