In the summer of 2015 two tall people went out on the town. In the midst of dancing with friends, we locked eyes above everyone else's heads and knew we had to meet. With the help of a friend to encourage the introduction, we started talking and exchanged numbers. Anders asked Mackenzie out on a date that same week and decided to go to McCoy's restaurant in St. Louis Park, which is what we ended up naming our Portuguese Water Dog pup.

Fast forward a few years later on a random Tuesday in November. After taking McCoy on a FREEZING walk outside, we came inside to hang for the night. Anders called Mackenzie to come take a look at "something on McCoy's ear." Of course Mackenzie jumped up right away to see what was wrong. After searching for what the heck he was talking about, it finally dawned on her that he was on one knee. After what felt like the longest pause in the world to him while he was soaking in the moment, he asked her to marry him and of course, she said yes.
