Sky Acres is a beautiful venue! We will have our ceremony on top of the overlook which boasts gorgeous views of the Green Mountains. Our traditional reception will be at the pavilion.
There will be a clearly marked area designated for parking, which there is plenty of. This area is past the pavilion into the field. After parking in the field, please take the shuttle we will be offering. After the ceremony the shuttle will transport attendees to the pavilion for the reception. Please accept the rides in our 15-passenger shuttle instead of attempting to walk, the hill is larger than it looks, there is limited room for the shuttle to pass and the road could be hazardous to ankles - especially in dress shoes! Also, please be advised that we have some family members whom we will reserve parking for at the pavilion itself. Those parking at the pavilion will be shuttled to the ceremony site from the parking at the pavilion.
In short, yes and no! Our children will be present along with the children of the bridal party. While we don't mind having your children attend, keep in mind that there will be alcohol and adult type conversations and activities!
Okay, so let us explain why we sent the little cards about our dream honeymoon. As most of you know, we LOVE to travel. As a matter of fact, Anthony proposed to Sara at sunset in Key West on their first "real" adult only vacation. Traveling is kind of our thing, we prefer experiences and memories over tangible items. The one thing neither of us have done while traveling, however, is vacation at an all-inclusive resort. This is a bucket-list item for us! You may be thinking "Didn't you just win a vacation at the wedding show?" Yes! We did and we are so excited...and we are hoping to upgrade this trip we won to an all-inclusive honeymoon. So, like we said before, we will be so honored to have your presence on our wedding day and that is gift enough. If you do choose to give us a gift, this is our wish.
Dinner will be a buffet style meal. There will be stuffed chicken breast and a pork tenderloin. Please be respectful and chose one to be sure there is plenty of food for everyone.
We have a great bartender; Tobi Bernier will be mixing up drinks and serving them responsibly! It will be an open bar... yes an open bar! However, once the alcohol is all gone, it's all gone. We believe we'll be well stocked, but feel free to bring a cooler with your favorites if you're worried (we just don't want the coolers out in the reception area). We will have multiple beer, wine and liquor selections. We will also have a Prosecco toast. Please, be sure to drink responsibly and make plans for a driver.... and second most important - please tip your bartender!!!
