Harper's Ferry is one of our favorite places to hike and where Steve proposed! There are several hikes and lots of history to take in, if you have a couple of hours to spare.  West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia and the Shenandoah and Potomac all come together and the views are spectacular from the top.

There are tons of wineries and breweries in Leesburg -- we have not explored too many, but will add in our favorites as we do -- but a good google or yelp search or a drive down the road from the hotel will have several to try!
