After five and half years of dating, James and Lydia took a vacation to the Rocky Mountains with some of their closest friends for the weekend. Lydia thought it was going to be like any other vacation they had taken, but everyone else knew James' plan. One day the group went on a hike to take in the scenery and after walking for a while they stopped by a river that was partially frozen over. The two went out on the ice to get a photo and when Lydia was distracted James got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
James and Lydia celebrated their marriage by having an intimate ceremony with 12 of their closest friends and family. The couple spent the wedding weekend with loved ones in Utah, hiking and celebrating, and were married on the morning of June 23 at Bryce Canyon National Park. They are now looking forward to celebrating with their friends and family back in Kansas City!
James and Lydia will be hosting their Happily Ever After Party in Kansas City to celebrate their wedding with their community of friends and family. Attire for this event is semi-formal and those attending are invited to embrace their personal style, however please dress according to the weather as this is a rooftop event.
