We're getting married!

Mel and Pete met through bridesmaid, Alicia Kopp. Both Pete and Alicia attended Eckerd College and when Mel would visit she would hang out with Alicia's friends -- one of which was Pete. Mel and Pete remained friends for years and when the time was right Pete shot his shot and asked for Mel's number!

After dating for two years, Pete took Mel to World's End in Hingham, MA on Valentines Day 2021. Pete knew that a simple, heartfelt proposal would be perfect for Mel as long as it included one thing -- their pup Waylon. The three were enjoying a chilly beach walk when Pete suggested they take a picture for his mother and covertly set up a video. He then told Mel that "life was an adventure, or nothing at all" and popped the question.
